Determine IP trunk card software release
Follow the steps in Procedure 71 "Determining the IP trunk card software
release" (page 419) to determine the current software release on the IP
trunk card.

Step Action
1In the IP Telephony Gatewaywindow in TM 3.1, double-click the
replacement IP trunk card to open the Card properties window.
Leave the default selection of the IP trunk card in theCard
Properties window and click the Configuration tab.
2Check that the "S/W release" shows the latest recommended
software version.
3If the replacement IP trunk card requires a software upgrade, referto
"Software upgrade mechanisms" (page 414).

Transmit card properties and dialing plan
It is not necessary to disable IP trunk cards when transmitting a dialing
plan alone.
Follow the steps in Procedure 72 "TransmittingIP trunk card proper ties
and dialing plan" (page 419) to transmit IP trunk card properties and the
dialing plan.

Step Action
1In the IP Telephony Gatewaywindow, select the replacement IP
trunk card.
2Click menu Configuration > Synchronize > Transmit.
The ITG – Transmit Options window appears.
3Select the Transmit to selected cards radio button. Check the
Card properties and Dialing plan boxes only.
