4Attach the label, ❑ 1-8, to the outside of the right door of the apparatus box.

5Attach the long, narrow label showing jacks 1 through 8 to the inside of the right door of the apparatus box.

6Attach the telephone number directory inside the left door of the apparatus box, and close the left door.

You should now have a single-pair modular jack in the jack field for each outside line.
