2.If you have an XConnect II, XConnect II Lite, or XConnect 100, make sure that the parallel cable length is less than 1.8 meters (6 feet), which is the limit of the Centronics standard. The Pony Print Server Plus will support longer lengths up to 25 feet, depending on environmental conditions.
3.If possible, connect a terminal to the serial port. If you see the boot> prompt, the print server firmware has not been loaded properly. Refer to Appendix C for instructions on reloading the firmware. If reloading does not fix the problem, try setting switch 1 to ON (factory defaults) and powering the print server off and then on again; if the problem persists, the product may be defective.
Installation Problems (Printer Comes up Ready but You Cannot Print)
If the printer starts up OK but you cannot print, the problem could one of the following:
