9Click the Traps tab.

The RMX-SNMP Properties – Traps dialog box opens.

Traps are messages sent by the MCU to the SNMP Managers when events such as MCU Startup or Shutdown occur. Traps may be sent to several SNMP Managers whose IP addresses are specified in the Trap Destinations box.

10Define the following parameters:

SNMP Trap Version

Specifies the version, either Version1 or Version2c, of

 

the traps being sent to the IP Host. Polycom software

 

supports the standard SNMP version 1 and 2 traps,

 

which are taken from RFC 1215, convention for

 

defining traps for use with SNMP:

 

Note: The SNMP Trap Version parameters must be

 

defined identically in the external SNMP application.
