For example, the list entry +192.246.238.* indicates that only this subnet has access to the device. The list entry -192.246.238.* indicates that no client has access to the device since there are no granted permissions in the list.

You may want to leave +* at the end of the list to ensure that if the HTTP server does not find a matching entry, then it will allow the IP address access when it finds +*.

For example, the following list entry indicates that only the IP addresses in the restricted subnet do not have access to the device:

-192.246.238.*

To grant permissions:

1.Open your Web browser and enter the TCP/IP address of the Document Centre in the Address or Location field.

2.Click the Properties tab or click Properties in the directory tree.

3.Select Connectivity, then select HTTP in the directory tree.
