Operating Instructions

AC and DC (Battery) Operation

The following is a list of AC and battery operating instructions.

The batteries continuously charge when the instrument is connected to AC power. Charging occurs whether the monitor is turned Off or On.

Philips Medical Systems recommends you fully charge the batteries

 

 

before using the V24CT for the first time. Plug the monitor into AC power

AC power is indicated by the

 

 

green LED indicator.

Battery charging is indicated by the

 

amber LED.

 

 

 

Battery Charging

 

 

 

 

The LED indicator flashes when the batteries first start charging,

 

 

 

 

and continues flashing until the batteries are 30 - 40% charged.

 

 

When the batteries are 30 - 40% charged, the indicator goes from

flashing to continuously on. The Battery Charging indicator will be

on steady until the batteries are 90% charged. The Battery Charging indicator will turn off when both batteries are 90% charged or when the line power is disconnected.

The Battery Charged green LED illuminates when the battery charging function has reached 90% charged, and will stay on steady even when the batteries are fully charged. If the line power is disconnected, this LED indicator will be turned off.
