6. Once all oil has been drai ned, place some rags or abso rbent material under t he oil filter
housing to catch any drips once the f ilter is opened. Re move the 4 bolts fr om the end of the
filter housing and re m ov e t he filter cover.
7. Remove the filter ret ai ner by unscrewing the ret ainer nut. The filter ma y now be removed
and disposed o f properly.
8. Replace the old f ilter with a new filter. Install the filter retaine r and tighten dow n the retainer
nut. Install the filter c ov e r and tighten the 4 bolts.
9. Evacuate the filter housing b y placing a vac uum pump on the charging va lve. Follow the
normal evacuation pr oc e dures. Shut the chargin g valve when done, and rec on nect the
valve so that new oil can be pumped into the filter ho us in g. Fill with the same amoun t that
was removed, then clos e t he charging valve.
10. Remove the ho se from the ch arging valve, o pen the isolati on valves to the filter housi ng,
and turn on the power to th e pum p and the motor.

The oil filter housing is at a high pressure. Relieve this pressure slowly.
