Installation
1. Verify if the existin g P S IO m odu le is defective, by using the procedure describe d in t he
Troubleshooting Gu ide section, and Control Modules section. Do not select the Attach to
Network Device table if the LID displays communica tion failure.
2. Data regarding the PSI O configuration should have been recorded and saved. Th is data will
have to be reconfigure d into the LID. If this data is no t available, follow the pro cedures
described in the Set Up Mac h ine Control Configurat ion section.
If a CCN Building Super v is or or S er v i ce Tool is present, the mod ule configuration shoul d
have already been upload ed into memory; then, when th e new module is installed, the con-
figuration can be downl oaded from the compute r .
Any communication wires from other mac hines or CCN modules s hould be disconnected to
prevent the new PSIO mo dul e from uploading incorr ec t run hours into memory.
3. Check that all power to th e unit is off. Carefully dis c on nect all wires from the def ec t ive
module by unplugging the 6 connectors. It is not ne c es s ar y t o remove any of the individu al
wires from the connectors.
4. Remove defective PS IO by r em ov i ng its mounting screw wi th a long -shaft Phillips
screwdriver, and removing the module from the control box. Save the screw for later use.
The green ground wire is held in place with the module mounting screw.
5. Package the defecti v e m odu le in the carton of the new mod ule for return to Carrier.
