If the controller init iat es a safety shutdown, it displays the fault on the LID di splay with a
primary and a secondar y me s s age , and energizes an alar m re lay in the starter and blinks th e
alarm light on the contr ol c en ter. The alarm is stored in memory and can be viewed in th e PIC
alarm table along with a m es s ag e for troubleshooti ng.
To give a bett er warning as to the operati ng condition of the machine, t he operator als o can
define alert limits on v ar io us monitored inputs. Safety contact and aler t li mits are defined in
