Overview

The PIC has ma ny features t o aid the operat or and the technician in troubleshooting a 19XL

machine.

• By using the L ID display, the chiller act ual operating conditions can be viewed whi le

the unit is running.

• When an alarm occurs, the de fault LID screen will freeze at the time of alarm . The

freeze enables the operator to view the m achine conditi ons at the ti me of alarm. The

Status tables will still show the current information. Once all alarms have been

cleared, the default LID screens will return to normal operation.

• The Control Algorithm Status tables will display various screens of information in

order to diagnose proble ms with chilled water te mperature control , chi lled water tem-

perature control over rides, hot gas bypass , surge algorithm stat us, and time schedule

operation.

• The Control Test fea ture allows pro per operation and testing of tempera ture sensors,

pressure transducer s, the guide vane ac tuator, oil pump, water pumps, tower control,

and other on/off output s while the compressor is stopped. It also has th e ability to lock

off the compressor and tu rn on water pumps for pump out operation. The di s pla y will

show the required tempe ratures and pressur es dur i ng these operations.

• Other Service menu tables can access configured items, such as chilled water resets,

override set points , et c .

• If an operating fault is detected, an alar m message is generate d and displayed on th e

LID default screen. A more detailed message — along with a diagnostic message —

also is stored into the Ala rm History ta ble.
