See Figure 8 for sensor lo cations. The sensors ar e im m er s e d directly in the refrige rant or
water circuits . The wiring at each sensor is easily disconnect ed by unlatching the connector .
These connectors allow only one-way connecti on t o the sensor. When install ing a new sensor,
apply a pipe sealant or th r ead sealant to the sensor thr ead s.

Dual Temperature Sensors

There are 2 se nsors each on the bearing and motor temperature sensors for se rvicing
convenience. In case one of the dual sensors is dama ged , the other one can be used by
moving a wire.
The number 2 terminal in t he s en sor terminal box is the comm on line. To use the second
sensor, move the wire fr om th e number 1 position to the num b er 3 position.
Checking Pressure Transducers
There are 3 pressure tran sducers on the 19XL. These determine cooler, conden ser, and oil
pressure. The cooler and c on denser transducers als o are used by the PIC to determi ne the
refrigerant tempera tures. All 3 can be calibrat ed if necessary. It is not us ual ly necessary to
calibrate at initial s t art-up. However, at high altitude locations, ca lib ration of the transducer wi ll
be necessary to ensure th e proper refrigerant te mperature/pressur e r ela tionship. Each
transducer is supplie d with 5 vdc power from a power s upp ly. If the power supply fai ls, a
transducer voltage r ef erence alarm will occur . If the transducer reading is s us p ected of being
