To configure the maximum time to wait for a response from a server, use the response-timeoutcommand in settlement configuration mode. To restore the default value of this command, use the no form of this command.

The default response timeout is one (1) second.

Usage Guidelines	If no response is received within the response-timeout time limit, the current connection ends, and the
	router attempts to contact the next service point.
Examples	The following example illustrates a response-timeout set to 1 second.
