This type of ISDN terminal adapter data station includes an MLX telephone in addition to the DTE and ISDN terminal adapter (see Figure 5–4). The ISDN terminal adapter connects to the control unit through an MLX port. The MLX port is shared by both the telephone and the data station but they operate independently of each other and can be used simultaneously.

NOTE:

In an MLX voice and ISDN terminal adapter data station, the MLX telephone cannot contain an MFM.
