Initial InspectionInspect the shipping container for damage. If the shipping container or cushioning material is damaged, keep it until you have verified that the contents are complete and you have tested the cable TV analyzer mechanically and electrically.
lhble l-l contains the accessories shipped with the cable TV analyzer. If the contents are incomplete or if the cable TV analyzer does not pass the verification tests in the calibration guide, notify the nearest Hewlett-Packard office. If the shipping container is damaged or the cushioning material shows signs of stress, also notify the carrier. Keep the shipping materials for the carrier’s inspection. The HP office will arrange for repair or replacement without waiting for a claim settlement.
If the shipping materials are in good condition, retain them for possible future use. You may wish to ship the cable TV analyzer to another location or to return it to Hewlett-Packard for service. See “How to Return Your Analyzer for Servicing, D in Chapter 8 for more information about shipping materials.
