Managing Group Preferences
Group preferences are shared among all users in the group. Setting some preferences only for groups instead of for each user can save time, especially when you have large numbers of managed users.
Because users can select a workgroup at login, they can choose a group with managed settings appropriate to the current task, location, or environment. It can be more efficient to set preferences once for a single group instead of setting preferences for each member of the group.
To manage group preferences:
1In Workgroup Manager, click Preferences.
2Make sure the correct directory is selected and you are authenticated.
To switch directories, click the globe icon. If you are not authenticated, click the lock and enter the name and password of a directory domain administrator.
3Click the Groups button and select one or more group accounts from the list.
4Click the icon for the preference you want to manage.
