To do this:

1Launch the Configuration Editor dialog box using the Switch Ports option from the Device > Configure menu.

2Select the Security feature in the configuration summary tree and enable the security mode in the feature pane, as shown in Figure 341.

3Select the user-login security mode.

4Click the Edit Selection button in the Configuration Editor dialog box to launch the Selection Editor dialog box, and click the Add Device button in the Selection Editor box to launch the Find Device dialog box. Select the Find by type option and select the Switch 4400 device type from the drop down list, and click Find. Highlight the Switch 4400 devices that provide the network connections for the new hot-desking area, and click OK to add the devices to the selection of devices to be configured.

If the selection made in the previous configuration operation was saved, then it can be opened again for use here.

5Highlight all of the devices in the selection summary tree, as shown in Figure 342.
