Useful Information	The following section provides assistance when using Agent Update on

Supported Devices Some types of devices are supported only from a minimum agent version onwards. If you want to upgrade the agent of a device that is currently running an unsupported agent version, you must use another means to upgrade the agent for the first time.

The supported devices are listed in Appendix A on page 841.

Agent Image 3Com agent image files follow a naming convention that helps you to Filenames identify the device family that the agent can be applied to.

Some types of device will reject attempts to update them using agent files that do not follow the naming scheme. For this reason, 3Com recommends that you do not rename your agent files.

Table 107 shows the agent filename format for the device families supported by Agent Update.
