The wrong username/password was specified for the NBX Call

Processor

If the wrong username/password was specified for the NBX Call Processor on your network, NBX devices will be represented by an end-station icon and will show the following device type:

Generic IP Device, if an IP address was assigned to the device.

Generic Device, if no IP address was assigned to the device.

To check whether a wrong username and password is the cause of the problem, select the NBX Call Processor icon on the map and call the Device > Web management menu option. This will launch NetSet in your default browser.

If you are not required to log in, this means 3Com Network Director is using the correct username and password for the NBX Call Processor.
