This dialog box allows you to add and remove switches and switch ports. The tree in this dialog box will be initially populated with all of the switches and switch ports listed in the wizard stage. The tree lists all of the available ports on these switches but indicates which ports have not been selected to be members of the VLAN by greying them out. Ports that are selected to be members of the VLAN are shown with a tick icon. If the port will be tagged then a tag icon will be shown behind the tick. The Add Port (Tagged) and Add Port (Untagged) buttons can be used to add additional ports to the selection, or to change the tagging state of a port that has already been added to the selection.

The Add Ports by Type button launches the Add Ports by Type dialog box, which can be used to select multiple ports at once based on various criteria – see Figure 290 on page 542. The Add Ports by Type dialog box only selects ports of the type from within the items currently selected in the tree in the Selection Editor dialog box. For example, you could select all unconnected ports on a particular switch to be untagged members of the new VLAN by selecting that switch in the tree, launching the Add
