For example, the configuration below would be reported as a misconfiguration:

The same VLAN (ID=2) is configured on three switches with three different names. 3Com Network Director will choose one of the configured names to represent the VLAN. This name will be used to display the VLAN in the Show VLANs toolbar and the Find dialog.

To avoid this misconfiguration being reported in the future, configure the same VLAN name on all switches.

Spanning Tree Fast Spanning Tree Fast Start allows you to specify whether a switch port goes Start directly to the STP Forwarding state when a device is connected to it. This

field should be set to enable if the switch port is connected to a single end station, and disable if the switch port is connected to another switch.
