Recommended action

Verify that the memory card is inserted completely.
Allow the device to retry sending the fax. Unplug the device telephone cord from the wall, plug in a telephone, and try making a call. Plug the device phone cord into a jack for another phone line.
Try a different phone cord.

HP Customer Care. See Service and support or the support flyer that came in the device box.
Press ENTER to resume the job.
Wait for the device to finish the current job.
Open the document release door, clear the jam, close the document release door, and reload the paper into the ADF tray.
