20.When the pound sign (#) prompt appears, TYPE: exit

PRESS: Enter

to return to the Console Login: prompt.

21.At the Console Login: prompt,

TYPE: nms

PRESS: Enter

TYPE: The nms password (the default is startmenu)

PRESS: Enter

The Release 4.2 6800 NMS Main Menu appears.

22.To continue, TYPE: 1 PRESS: Enter

to select Start the System.

The following message appears:

Starting the AT&T Paradyne NMS system. Please wait...

The system performs database error checking and then starts the NMS. When the start-up is complete, the following message appears:

The AT&T Paradyne NMS system has been successfully started. Press RETURN to continue

23.To continue, PRESS: Enter

The Release 4.2 6800 Series NMS Main Menu appears.

24.To return to the Console Login: prompt,

TYPE: 11

PRESS: Enter

25.At the Console Login: prompt,

PRESS: nms

PRESS: Enter

TYPE: The full-feature workstation password (the default password is no password; just press Enter)

PRESS: Enter

The NMS application is brought up and the NMS login window appears.
