Note- Do n ot attempt to install a PCIe cable in the wrong direction. If excessive force is used
toinstall a PCIe cable, it may be damaged.
Note- Ensure t hat the PCIe cables are firmly connected and secure.

Whenexpanding the CPU memory unit upper or when replacing a PCIe cable,
connectthe PC Iecable. Yo u can reduce a CPU memory unit upper by performing the
procedurefrom step 2.
1. Connectthe three PCIe cables by matching their position labels of the PCle
cablewith the corresponding position marks on the PCIBP board (A in the
figure).
Thedirectio n in which the PCIe cables are installed varies depending on the type
ofthe CPU memory unit.
Whenreducing a CPU memory unit upper, you do not have to perform this step
becausethe PCIe cables are not present.
