13.3 Checking If PCI Hot Plug (PHP) CanBe Used
PHP enables you to perform maintenance for the PCIe cards while Oracle Solaris is
operating. This section checks whether the PCIe card requiring maintenance can use
PHP.
1. LogintotheXSCFshell.
2. Executethe showlogs command to identify the PCIe card requiring
maintenance.
For details, see "3.3.5 Checkinglog information."
3. Confirmthe hardware and software configurations.
For details, see "4.2 Confirmingthe System Configuration."
4. Checkwhether the PCIe card requiring maintenance supports PHP.
Thefollowing PCIe cards do not support PHP:
[FCoE]SP1X7FAR2F, SP1X7FAS2F, SP1X7FBR2F, and SP1X7FBS2F
[IB]SE1X7BA12F and 7104073 (7104074)
Ifthe PCIe card requiring maintenance does not support PHP or if you do not
useP HP, you do not have to perform step 5 and the subsequent step.
5. If thePCIe card requiringmaintenance supports PHP, execute the ldm list-io -l
commandto confirm the logical domain to which the PCIe card is assigned
andthe logical domain to which the PCIe root complex the PCIe card belongs
tois assigned.
