2. Securethe cable with a clamp.
3. Support the fan shelf from below with one hand and then insert it carefully
intothe chassis.
Arranging the cables in the center makes it easier to install the fan shelf.
4. Tightenthe three screws securing the fan shelf.
5. Connect the two cables to the fan shelf.
6. Install the lowercov er and then secure it with the onescrew.
7. Install the upper cover.
8. Slidethe right and left stoppers of the upper cover outwards and then secure
thecover with the two screws.
9. Installall the fan units.

28.5.2 Installing a cable for the connection between theterminal board and fan backplane
Installthe cable (SIG) or cable (PWR) connecting the terminal board and fan backplane.
1. Install thecable on the terminalboard.
- Fo r the cable (PWR), install the connector that has latches (A in the figure) on
both ends to the terminal board.
Installthe ta b (B in the figure) of the connector such that it fits in the notched
section( C in the figure) of the terminal board.
