Connecting a network cable

1Make sure that Digital Copier power is turned off.

2Connect the network cable to the Network Card.

10/100BaseT port

Insert the plug into the 10-100BaseT port on the rear panel of the network card and press it in until you hear it click securely into place.

3Power up the Digital Copier and check for abnormalities.

Important!

Use only Category 5 shielded 10/100BaseT cable.

Configuring the network card

You must first configure the Network Card and your computer before you can print using the Network Card. The settings you need to make depend on the configuration of your network environment. sections 4 through 6 of this chapter describe configurations for the environments listed below.

Follow the configurations procedure for the operating system you are us- ing.

Section 4 - Windows configuration

Network printing in a Windows 95/98/Me/2000/XP/NT environment

Section 5 - NetWare configuration Network printing in a NetWare environment

Section 6 - Macintosh configuration Network printing in a Macintosh environment
