3.5Peer-to-Peer Printing with IPX/SPX

Use the bundled IPX Peer-to-Peer Printing Program for IPX/SPX peer-to- peer printing under Windows.

With IPX Peer-to-Peer Printing Program, there is no need to run NetWare Client.

Configuration Procedure

1Install IPX/SPX-compatible Protocol under Windows.

Refer to the applicable Windows documentation for more information.

2Install the IPX Peer-to-Peer Printing Program.

Use the IPX Peer-to-Peer Printing Program for peer-to-peer printing. See “3.6 IPX Peer-to-Peer Printing Program (Windows)” (p. 3-14)for more information.

3Use the procedure below to install the printer.

To install the printer

1On the Start menu, point to Settings and then click Printers.

2Double-click Add Printer and install the printer. Make the new printer the default printer.

See “2 Installing the Printer Driver” (p. 2-1) for details about how to in- stall it.
