CLI: Enable RIP on the Switch

This sequence enables RIP for the switch. The route preference defaults to 15.

(Netgear Switch) #config

(Netgear Switch) (Config)#router rip (Netgear Switch) (Config router)#enable (Netgear Switch) (Config router)#exit (Netgear Switch) (Config)#exit

Web Interface: Enable RIP on the Switch

1.Select Routing > RIP > Basic > RIP Configuration. A screen similar to the following displays.

2.For RIP Admin Mode, select Enable radio button.

3.Click Apply to save the setting.

RIP for Ports 1/0/2 and 1/0/3
