Note

❒Depending on the model you use, the Network Interface Board , the 1394 Interface Unit, and the 802.11b Interface Unit cannot be installed to the printer at the same time. For more information, see p.11 “Installing Options”.

Important

❒Before touching the Network In- terface Board, touch something metal to discharge any static elec- tricity. Static electricity can dam- age the Network Interface Board.

❒Use the shielded twisted-pair (STP) network interface cable.

A Check the contents of the box for the following items:

•Network Interface Board

•Ferrite Core

•Installation Guide

B Confirm that the followings are true:

C If the Duplex Unit is attached, push down the lever on right side (A) and pull out the Duplex Unit until it stops (B).

D Use a coin to remove the two screws.
