6.1.8Install the ECR-E ETU in an available interface slot in a CCU making sure that the busy switch (SWl) is in the OFF position. After the ECR-E ETU is properly seatedin its slot, turn on SWl. (Refer to Chapter 3 of the Electra Mark II Installation Service Manual Memory Block 4Cl.)

6.2R&31X Connection

6.2.1Connect the other end of the station cable as follows:

TERMINAL

Also, install a 100 ohm + watt resistor across terminals four and five, in parallel for reducing voice level (SeeFigure 1).

6.2.2Plug in one end of the 8 conductor modular cable into the M-31X.

6.3Installing and programming the AEC 212Plus Announcer (Refer to Figure 1)

NOTE:

Ensure that the 212 Plus power pack is disconnected from the Announcer

 

unit before proceeding.

6.3.1Refer to the AEC 212 owner’s manual and set the internal jumper plugs (1 per channel) for 600 ohms transformer coupled audio output. (These jumpers are internal to the AEC equipment).

6.3.2Set the start mode switches on the back of the unit as follows:

6.3.3Plu the other end of the 8 conductor modular cable to the Line 1 jack on the %ack of the AEC 212 Plus unit.

6.3.4The AEC Model 212 Plus Announcer provides two ports. that can be independently recorded. By manually switching port connections, DAY and NIGHT announcements can be provided. (SeeFigure 1).
