| Configuration Name |
| A previously configured name set on the Switch to uniquely identify the MSTI (Multiple |

| Spanning Tree Instance). If a configuration name is not set, this field will show the MAC |

| address to the device running MSTP. This field can be set in the STP Bridge Global Set- |
|
|
|
| tings window. |

|
|
|
|
|
| Revision Level |
| This value, along with the Configuration Name will identify the MSTP region configured on |
|
|
|
| the Switch. The user may choose a value between 0 and 65535 with a default setting of 0. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
| MSTI ID |
| This field shows the MSTI IDs currently set on the Switch. This field will always have the |
|
|
|
| CIST MSTI, which may be configured but not deleted. Clicking the hyperlinked name will |
|
|
|
| open a new window for configuring parameters associated with that particular MSTI. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
| Type |
| This field allows the user to choose a desired method for altering the MSTI settings. The |
|
|
|
| user has two choices. |
|
|
|
| Add VID – Select this parameter to add VIDs to the MSTI ID, in conjunction with the VID List |
|
|
|
| parameter. |
|
|
|
| Remove VID – Select this parameter to remove VIDs from the MSTI ID, in conjunction with |
|
|
|
| the VID List parameter. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
| VID List |
| This field displays the VLAN IDs associated with the specific MSTI. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
Click Apply to implement changes. Click Edit to modify an entry and Delete to remove an entry.
STP Instance Settings
This table is used to create STP Instance Settings on the Switch. An STP instance may have multiple members with the same MSTP configuration. There is no limit to the number of STP regions in a network but each region only supports a maximum of 16 spanning tree instances (one unchangeable default entry). VIDs can belong to only one spanning tree instance at a time.
To view this window, click L2 Features > Spanning Tree > STP Instance Settings as shown below:

The following information can be set:

Priority | Enter the new priority in the Priority field. The user may set a priority value between 0 and |
| 61440. |

To modify an entry click the Edit button, to see the STP Instance Operational Status of a previously configured setting click View, the following window will be displayed.
