NOTE: To set the Local Enable Password, see the next section, entitled
Local Enable Password.
To view the following table, click Security > Access Authentication Control > Enable Method Lists as shown
below:

To delete an Enable Method List defined by the user, click the correspoinding Delete butto n. To modify an Enable
Method List, click its corresponding Edit button.
To define an Enable Login Method List, set the following parameters and c lick Apply:
Parameter Description
Method List Name Enter a method list name defined by the user of up to 15 characters.
Priority 1, 2, 3, 4 The user may add one, or a combination of up to four of the following authenticat ion
methods to this method list:
local_enableAdding this parameter will require the user to be authenticat ed using the local
enable password database on the Switch. The user in the next section entitled Loc al Enable
Password must set the local enable password.
noneAdding this parameter will require no authentication to access the S witch.
radius Adding this param eter will require the user to be authenticated using t he RADIUS
protocol from a remote RADIUS server.
tacacs Adding this parameter will require the user to be au thenticated us ing the T ACACS
protocol from a remote TACACS server.
xtacacs Adding this parameter will require the user to be authenticated us ing the
XTACACS protocol from a remote XTACACS server.
tacacs+Adding this parameter will require the user to be authenticated using the TACACS
protocol from a remote TACACS server.
server_group Add ing a previously configured server group will require the user to be
authenticated using a user-defined server group previously configured on the Switch.
Local Enable Password Settings
This window will configure the locally enabled password f or the Enable Admin co mmand. When a user cho oses the
"local_enable" method to promote user level privileges to administr ator privil eges, he or she will be prom pted to e nter
the password configured here that is locally set on the Switch.
To view this window, click Security > Access Authentication Control > Local Enable Password Settings as
shown below:
