LLDP Dot1 TLVs Settings

LLDP Dot1 TLVs are organizationally specific TLVs which are defined in IEEE 802.1 and used to configure an individual port or group of ports to exclude one or more of the IEEE 802.1 organizational port vlan ID TLV data types from outbound LLDP advertisements.

To view this window, click L2 Features > LLDP > LLDP Dot1 TLVs Settings as shown below:

Dot1 TLV PVID

Use the drop-down menu to enable or disable the advertised PVID. This TLV optional

datatype determines whether the IEEE 802.1 organizationally defined port VLAN TLV

transmission is allowed on a given LLDP transmission capable port.

Dot1 TLV Protocol

Use the drop-down menu to enable or disable the advertised Protocol VLAN ID. This TLV

VLAN

optional data type indicates whether the corresponding Local System’s port and protocol

VLAN ID instance will be transmitted on the port. If a port is associated with multiple protocol

VLANs, those enabled ports and protocol VLAN IDs will be advertised.

Dot1 TLV VLAN

Use the drop-down menu to enable or disable the advertised VLAN Name. This TLV optional

data type indicates whether the corresponding Local System’s VLAN name instance will be

transmitted on the port. If a port is associated with multiple VLANs, those enabled VLAN name

larger, it will only bring limited numbers of VLANs due to restrictions of the package length.

Dot1 TLV Protocol

Use the drop-down menu to enable or disable the advertised Protocol Identity. This TLV

Identity

optional data type indicates whether the corresponding Local System’s Protocol Identity

instance will be transmitted on the port. The Protocol Identity TLV provides a way for stations
