SNMP Group Table
An SNMP Group created with this table maps SNMP users ( identified in the SNMP User Table) to the views created in
the previous menu.
To view this window, click Configuration > SNMP Settings > SNMP Group Table as shown below:

To delete an existing SNMP Group Table entry, click the corresponding Delet e button.
The following parameters can be set:
Parameter Description
Group Name Type an alphanumeric string of up to 32 characters. This is used to identif y the new SNMP
group of SNMP users.
Read View Name This name is used to specify the SNMP group created c an request SNMP messages.
Write View Name Specify a SNMP group name for users that are allowed S NMP writ e privileges to the S witch's
SNMP agent.
Notify View Name Specify a SNMP group name for users that can receive SNMP trap messages generated b y
the Switch's SNMP agent.
User-based
Security Model SNMPv1 Specifies that SNMP version 1 will be used.
SNMPv2 ��� Specifies that SNMP version 2c will be used. The SNMPv2 su pports both
centralized and distributed network management strategies. It includes impr ovements in the
Structure of Management Information (SMI) and adds some security feat ures.
SNMPv3 Specifies that the SNMP versi on 3 will be used. SN MPv3 provides secure acc ess
to devices through a combination of authentication and encrypting pack ets over the network.
Security Level The Security Level settings only apply to SNMPv3.
NoAuthNoPriv Specifies that there will be no author ization and no encryption of packets
sent between the Switch and a remote SNMP manager.
AuthNoPrivSpecifies that authorization will be required, but there will be no encryption of
packets sent between the Switch and a remote SNMP manager.
AuthPriv Specifies that authorization will be required, an d that packets sent between the
Switch and a remote SNMP manger will be encrypted.
To implement the new settings, click Apply.
