General Description
An Answer Key is provided on all Multiline Terminals. The Answer Key can be used to answer incoming calls on outside lines, and primary or secondary extensions. When the Answer Key is used to answer an incoming call with a call in progress, the first party is placed on hold and the second party is connected. If the Answer Key is pressed while in a

Operating Procedure
To answer an incoming ringing call with a call in progress
1.Receive incoming indication.
2.Press the Answer key. The original call is placed on

4.To return to the call on hold after the second call is completed, press the line key associated with the call on hold.

3.When a Multiline Terminal user is monitoring tones provided by the system (extension dial tone, busy tone, etc.) and uses the Answer key to answer an incoming call, the first call will not be placed on hold (the tone connection will be abandoned).
