AUTOMATIC NUMBER IDENTIFICATION (ANI)

General Description

This feature receives the calling subscriber's number automatically sent from T1 network using MF signaling and displays the calling number on the LCD of a Multiline Terminal and an Attendant Console.

Station Application

All Multiline Terminals with LCD and Attendant Consoles.

Operating Procedure

No manual operation is required.

Service Conditions

1.

Up to 16 digits of the calling subscriber's number for ANI can be displayed on the LCD of the Multiline

 

Terminal or the Attendant Console.

 

 

 

2.

Up to 16 digits of the calling subscriber's number can be recorded in the Station Message Detail Recording

 

(SMDR) by system programming.

 

 

 

3.

Up to 24 digits of the calling subscriber's number can be sent out to the OAI computer by system program-

 

ming.

 

 

 

4.

ANI information can not be transmitted to a tie line or a C.O. line through tandem connection.

5.

The 4RSTB card is required for the MF receiver of ANI information.

6.

Two signaling formats are supported for ANI: ANI format and Feature Group D (most common). Selection

 

of format is system-wide (one format per system).
