Carrier 17/19EX Ice Build Initiation

The Ice Build Time Sche dule defines the perio d during which ice b uild is active if the ice b uild

option is ENABLED. If t he Ice Build Time Schedul e overlaps other schedu les defining time, the n

the Ice Build Time Schedu le shall take priority. During the ice build perio d, the WATER/BRINE

CONTROL POINT is set to the ICE BUI LD SETPOINT for temperatur e cont rol. The ICE BUILD

RECYCLE OPTION and ICE BUILD TERMINATION entries from a screen in the Config

(configuration) table provide options for machine recycle and termination of ice build cycle,

respectively. Termi nation of ice build can result fro m the ENT ERING CHILLED WATER/BRI NE

temperature being le s s tha n the ICE BUILD SETPOINT , op ening of the REMOTE CONTA CT

inputs from an ice level ind icator, or reaching the end of the Ice Build Time Sch edu le.

Ice Build Initiation

The Ice Build T ime Schedule pr ovides the mea ns for activating ice build. The ice build t ime

table is named OCCPC02S.

If the Ice Build Time Schedule is OCCUPIED and the ICE BUILD OPTION is EN ABLED, then

ice build is a ctive and the f ollowing event s automatically take place (u nless overridden by a

higher authority CCN device):

1. Force CHILLER START/STOP to START.

2. Force WATER/BRINE CONTROL POINT to the ICE BUILD SETPOINT.

3. Remove any force (Auto) on the ACTIVE DEMAND LIMIT.
