Attach to Network Device Control
On the Service menu, one of th e selections is ATTACH TO NE TW O RK DEVICE. This table
serves the following pu rposes:
• to upload the Occupancy S c hed ule Number (if change d) fo r OCCPC03S, as defined
in the Service01 table
• to attach the LID to any CCN de vice, if the machine has be en connected to a CCN
Network. This may includ e other PIC controlled chillers.
• to change to a new PSIO or LID module or upgrade software .
Figure 23 illustrates the ATTACH TO NETWORK DEVICE table. The Local description is
always the PSIO module ad dress of the machine the LI D is mounted on. Whenever t he
controller ident ification of the P SIO is changed, t his change is refl ected on the bus and address
for the LOCAL DEVICE of the ATTACH TO DEVICE screen automatically. See Figure 17.
Whenever the ATTACH T O NETWORK DEVICE table is entered, the LID e rases information
on the module to which it wa s attached in order to mak e room for another device. Therefore, it is
then required to attach to a CCN module when this screen is entered, eve n if the LID i s attached
back to the original module. When the ATTAC H softkey is pressed, th e message ‘‘UPLOADI NG
TABLES, PLEASE WAIT’’ flashes. The LID will then upload the highlighted device or module. If
the module address ca nnot be found, the mess age ‘‘COMMUNICATIO N FAILURE’’ will appear.
The LID will then revert ba ck to the ATTACH TO DEVICE s c r een . The upload process time for
various CCN modul es is different fo r each module. In general, the uploa ding process will ta ke 3
to 5 minutes.
