debris that could be dra wn into the fan during oper at ion.
5. All external, factory-made, bolted joints should be checked for any looseness that may h ave
occurred in transit . Re fer to Table 6 for recommended bolt torques.
Carrier Comfort Network Inte r face
The Carrier Comfort Net work (CCN) communicatio n bus wiring is supplied and in stalled by
the electrical contra ctor. It consists of shi eld ed, 3-conductor cable wi th drain wire.
The system elements are connected to the communication bus in a daisy chain
arrangement. The positive pin of each system element communication connector must be wired
to the positive pins of the system element on either side of it; the negative pins must be wired to
the negative pins; the si gna l ground pins must be wire d to signal ground pins.
To attach the CCN communic at ion bus wiring, refer t o th e certified drawings an d wir i ng
diagrams. The wire is inserted into the CCN c ommunications p lug (COMM1) on the PSIO
module. This plug also is re fe rred to as J5.
