Disassembled Coupl ings
1. Shut down machine.
2. With machine hot, qui ckly disassemble coup lings.
3. Check angular and parallel alignment in plan and elevation as described in the Near Final
Alignment section. Rec o rd the indicator rea din gs (see Initial S tart-Up Checklist ) and make
necessary adjustmen ts to bring alignment within .002 TIR and .0003 3 inches per in. of
coupling face traverse (or in. of indicator swing). Follow procedures described in the Near
Final Alignment section.
4. Reinstall couplin gs and run machine until it agai n reaches operating temperature.
5. Repeat steps 1 through 4 un til alignment remain s within specified to lerances.
