vessel. A moisture indi cating sight glass is loc at ed beyond this filter to indicate the volume and
moisture in the refrigerant. If the dry-eye indicates mo isture, locate the source of water
immediately by perfor m in g a thorough leak check.
Oil Reclaim Filter
The oil reclaim system has a filter on the cooler scavenging line. Replace this filter once per
year, or more often if fi lt er condition indicat es a nee d for more frequent repla cement. Change
this filter with the cooler/condenser/compressor vessel at 0 psig (0 kPa) by transferring the
refrigerant charge to the utility vessel.
Inspect Refrigerant Float System
Perform inspection once every 5 years or when the u tility vessel is opened for service.
Transfer the refri gerant into the coole r vessel, or into a stora ge tank. There are two floats on the
17/19EX, one on each side of the utility vessel. Remo ve the float access cove rs. Clean the
chambers and valve asse mbly thoroughly. Be su r e th at the valves move freely . Make sure that
all openings are free of obst r uc t ions. Examine the cover gask e ts and replace if necessary . See
Figure 45 for a view of both floats.
Inspect Relief Valves and Piping
The relief valves on this machine protect the system against the potentially dangerous
