Overview

The PIC has many feature s to ai d the operator and the tech nician in troubleshoo ting a

17/19EX machine.

• By using the L ID display, the chiller actual operating con ditions can be viewed while

the unit is running.

• The Control Algorithm Status screens will display various screens of information in

order to diagnose proble ms with chilled water te mperature control, chi lled water tem-

perature control over rides, hot gas bypass, sur ge algorithm status, and time schedule

operation.

• The Control Test fea ture allows proper operation and te sting of temperatu re sensors,

pressure transducer s, the guide vane act uator, oil pump, wa ter pumps, tower con trol,

and other on/off output s while the compressor is s topped. It also has the abi lity to lock

off the compressor and tu rn on water pumps for pump out operation. The displa y will

show the required tempe ratures and pressures dur i ng these operations.

• Other Service menu tables can access configured items, such as chilled water resets,

override set points , et c .

• If an operating fault is detected, an alarm message is generated an d displayed on the

LID default screen. A more detailed message — along with a diagnostic message —

also is stored into the Ala rm History table .
