that the value appeari ng on the LID is calibrated to the incoming power vol tage reading. Volt age
can be calibrated only to between 90 and 100 percen t of r at ed line voltage.
Perform an Automated Control Test
Check the safety controls status by performing an auto mated controls test. Access the
Control Test table and se lec t the Automated Tests fu nc t ion (Table 7).
The Automated Control Test will check all output s and inputs for function. I t wi ll also set the
refrigerant type. The com pr e ssor must be in the OFF mode in order to ope rate the controls test
and the 24-v input to the SMM must be in range (per line voltage percent on Status01 table).
The OFF mode is caused by pre ssing the STOP pushbut to n on the LID. Each test will ask the
operator to confirm th at the operation is occurr ing , and whether or not to cont inue. If an error
occurs, the operato r has the choice to t ry to address the pr oblem as the test is bei ng done, or to
note the problem and pro c eed to the next test.
Note: If during the Control Tes t the guide vanes do not open, ch ec k to see that the low pres-
sure alarm is not active. (This will cause the guid e vanes to close.)
Note: The oil pump test will not ener g ize the oil pump if cooler pr e ssure is below –5 psig
(–35 kPa).
