Troubleshooting Transducers
When troubleshooti ng transducers, k eep the negative lead of your voltoh mmeter on termin al
U4 of the power supply (or te rminal 4 on power suppli es wit hout the comparator ci r c uit ).
voltage VO1 = (VH1-VL1) + .4 67 ± .1 V
For all PIC transducers:
Measured pressure = (507 .97 × (Vout /Vin)) -47.33
Vout = transducer output ref . to neg. terminal (4 or U4) i.e ., VH1 to U4 or VL1 to U4
Vin = power supply output, i.e ., U3 to U4
Transducer Re placement
Since the transducer s ar e m oun ted on Schrader-type fittings, there is no nee d to remove
refrigerant from the ve s s el. Disconnect the transd ucer wiring by pulling up on t he locking tab
while pulling up on t he weather-tight c onnecting plug from t he end of the transdu cer.

Do not pull

on the transducer wir es

. Unscrew the transducer from the Schrader fitting. When installing a
new transducer, do no t use pipe sealer, wh ich can plug the sensor. Put the plug connector back
on the sensor and snap into p lace. Check fo r refrigerant l eaks.
Make sure to use a backup w ren ch on the Schrader fitt in g whenever removing a
transducer.
