5. If no leak is fou nd during initi al start-up procedu res, complete the t ransfer of refri gerant gas
(see Pumpout and Refrig er an t Transfer Procedure s section.)
6. If no leak is found after a re te st:
a. Transfer the r efrigerant to the utility vessel or other sto rage tank and perform a stan ding
vacuum test as outlined in the Standing Vacuum Te s t section.
b. If the machine fails this test, check for large leaks (Step 2b).
c. Dehydrate the machine if it passes the standing v acuum test. Follow the pr ocedure in the
Machine Dehydration section. Charg e machine with refrigerant (se e Pumpout and
Refrigerant Transfer Procedures section.)
7. If a leak is found, pump th e r ef rigerant back into the uti lity vessel or other sto r age tank.
8. Transfer the refrig erant until machine pre s s ur e is at 18 in. Hg (41 kPa absolute).
9. Repair the leak and repe at the procedure, beginn ing from Step 2g to ensure a le aktight
repair. (If machine is op ened to the atmosphere fo r an extended period, eva cuate it before
repeating leak test. )
