off. The LID Status02 screen displays whether the heater is energized or not. If the PIC shows
that the heater is energi zed, but the sump is not heat ing up, the power to the oil hea ter may be
off or the oil level may be t oo lo w. Check the oil level, the oil heater contactor vol tage, and oil
heater resistance.
The PIC will not permit com pr es s o r start-up if the oil tem per a ture is too low. The contro l will
continue with start-up only after the tempera tu re is within limits.
After the initial st art or a 3 hour power fa ilure, the controls will allow the machine t o start once
the oil is up to proper temperature, but a slow ramp load rate of 2° F (1. 6° C) per minute is us ed.
Be sure that the hand isolation valves on the oil line near the filter(s) (Figure 44, Items 1 and
2) are fully open before op erating the compress or .
