5. Package the defecti v e m odu le in the carton of the new mod ule for return to Carrier.
6. Restore control system power (LID will show ‘‘COMMUNICATION FAILURE’’ at bottom of
screen).
7. Access the SERVICE menu. Highlight and select ‘‘ATTACH TO NETWORK DEVICE.’’
Push the ‘‘AT TACH’’ softkey. (T he LID will sh ow ‘‘UPLOADING TABLES. PLEASE WAIT,’’
then show ‘‘COMMUNICA T ION FAILURE.’’) Pres s the EXIT softkey.
8. Turn off control power.
9. Mount the new module in the unit control box using a long-shaft Phillips screwdriver and the
screw saved in Step 4 above. Make sure that the green grounding wire is reinstalled along
with the mount ing screw.
10. Connect the LID commu nic a tion wires (CCN bus) and the po wer wires. If CCN wiring has
been attached to the CCN bu s, disconnect the wires. Attach the sensor bus plug and the
input and output plugs .
11. Carefully check all wir in g connections before res t oring power.
12. Restore control powe r and verify that the red and gr ee n LEDs on the PSIO are funct ion ing
properly.
13. The LID should indicate ‘‘AVAILABLE MEMORY’’ and a value. This value should start to
decrease. (If not, chec k LI D wiring to PSIO, ensur e c onn ection to the proper plug. ) The
bottom of the screen will indicate ‘‘UPLOADING TABLES, PL EASE WAIT.’’
