Charge Refrigerant into Ma chine

The 17/19EX machine may hav e the refrigerant alrea dy charged in the utility ve s s els . If

machine is not shipped fu lly charged, refriger an t is shipped separately t o conform with

transportation r egulations. The 17/19EX may b e ordered with a nitrogen hol ding charge of

15 psig (103 kPa). Evac uate the entire machine, and charge machine from refrigerant cylinders .

The full refrigerant cha rge on the 17/19EX will var y wit h machine components and design

conditions, indica te d on the job data specificat ions. An approximate c ha rge may be found in

17/19EX Physical Data section. The ful l machine charge is pri nted on the machine identification

label.

Always operate the conde nser and chilled water pum ps du ring charging operat io ns to

prevent freeze-up s. Use the C ontrols Test Te rminate Lockout to monitor condi tions and sta rt

the pumps.

If the machine ha s been shipped wi th a holding char ge, the refrige rant will be added through
