Safety Controls

The PIC monitors all safe ty c on trol inputs, and if requi red, shuts down the machi ne or limits

the guide vanes to protec t the machine from possible da mage from any of the followi ng

conditions:

• high bearing temperat ur e

• high motor winding tem per a ture

• high discharge temper at ure

• low oil pressur e

• low cooler refri gerant temperat ure/pressure

• condenser high p ressure or low pressure

• inadequate wate r/brine cooler a nd condenser fl ow

• high, low, or loss of volt ag e

• excessive motor acceleration time

• excessive starter transition time

• lack of motor current signal

• excessive motor amps

• excessive compressor surge

• temperature and tran s duc e r faults

Starter faults o r optional pro tective devices w ithin the starter can shut down the machine.

These devices ar e dependent on what has been purchased as op tions.
