Condenser Pump Control
The machine will monito r the
CONDENSER PRESSURE
and may turn on this pump if the
pressure becomes too high whe never the compres sor is shut d own.
CONDENSER
PRESSURE OVERRIDE
is used to determine this pr e ssure point. This value is found on the
Equipment Servi ce1 LID table and has a defau lt value (Table 4) . If the
CONDENSER
PRESSURE
is greater t han or equal to the
CONDENSER PRESSURE OVERRIDE
, and the
ENTERING CONDENSER WATER TEMP (Temperature)
is less than 115 F (46 C), the n th e
condenser pump will en er gi ze to try to decrease the pr es s u re. The pump will turn off when the
condenser pressur e is less than the pr essure override less 5 psi (34 kPa), or the
CONDENSER
REFRIG (Refrigerant) TEMP
is within 3° F (2° C) of the
ENTERING CONDENSER WATER
temperature.
Condenser Freeze Prevention
This control a lgorithm helps p revent condenser tube freeze-up by energizing t he condenser
pump relay. If the p ump is controlled by the PIC, starting the pump will help pre vent the water in
the condenser f rom freezing. Co ndenser freeze pre vention can occ ur whenever the machine is
not running except whe n it is either actively in pum pdo wn or in Pumpdown Lockout with the
freeze preventio n disabled (ref er to Control Test table, Pum pdown/Terminate Lockout tables) .
When the
CONDENSER REFRIG TEMP
is less than or equal to the
CONDENSER FREEZE
POINT
, or the
ENTERING CONDENSER WATER
temperature is less than or eq ual to the
